Is your teen prepared to succeed
in high school, college and beyond?
ineffective study methods, or a negative mindset about school
could be getting in their way?
If your teen is completing work at the last minute, missing assignments or forgetting about tests, spending inordinate amounts of time “studying” (or no time at all), or if they are constantly stressed out by all the pressure they feel at school, it can be hard on the entire family.
It’s frustrating to feel like your teen’s lack of organization, motivation or confidence in school could be keeping them from earning the grades they deserve…especially when you’ve invested so much in their education and done your best to help them succeed.
The truth is… even if your teen is attending the best schools in the country,
they probably aren’t learning all the skills they need to succeed.
Most schools assume that students will pick up these skills on their own. Or they teach one study skills class in 6th grade. And after that, students are just expected to figure it out.
But what if those suggestions didn’t fit your teen’s personality or learning style?
The trouble is that when it comes to organization, time management, study skills, and motivation, a one-size-fits-all solution rarely works. There are general guidelines and best practices which can help, but for lasting results it’s important to develop personalized solutions that fit the way YOUR teen thinks. And simply telling students what to do is not enough. Especially for teenagers, having someone come in and tell them what to do is usually NOT going to create a long-term change in their behavior. (Especially if that someone is their parent!)But what if there WERE a way to provide your teen with the support & guidance they need to develop these critical success skills? What kind of difference could that make in your teen’s life? In YOUR life? Imagine…
Coming home to find your teen working on a project that’s due next week, and knowing that you can trust them to complete & hand in their work on time without having to remind them about it…
Seeing your teen shrug off setbacks and obstacles that used to stop them in their tracks, and approach new challenges with confidence in their ability to succeed…
Listening to your teen excitedly share their vision for the future with friends & family, and see them proactively take action to explore potential careers that are a great fit for their personality, talents, values, and goals…My coaching & mentoring programs

My first semester went really well, I got a 4.0 GPA! I really appreciate all that you have taught me. It has helped me personally and academically and I owe much of my success to our sessions. Thanks again for everything!
I’m more optimistic, and better at recognizing negative thoughts. I also feel more confident about decisions I’ve made. I’m not so stressed out about what to do after college either.
Thank you so much for all you have done this past semester. I think you really helped in many ways–motivation, setting priorities, time management, study techniques. His grades certainly have improved. I would be very happy to recommend you to my friends and their children.
Thanks so much. You have been really good for S. and I have not had an opportunity to express my sincere appreciation. I think she is a pretty smart kid and you have helped her academically and as a role model.
“I learned a lot more than I thought I ever would. This class was extremely helpful and added a lot to my communication skills.”
He has been doing very well — staying on top of his assignments and planning ahead for his tests and projects. I can’t thank you enough for all that you have done over the last couple of years to get him to this point. – 8th Grade Parent, Holy Innocents’
This class has given her an opportunity to lighten her mental stress load. Especially for a 14 yr old, life can get overwhelming and things feel like they pile up so high that we do not know where to begin…she was definitely at that point before your class and now I see her with more of a spring in her step and it appears that load is lightening up too! Thanks again.
“I believe last semester was D’s best ever. I think she is finally enjoying college some and in the process made straight “A’s” for the very first time. Half way through the semester she indicated that she should have taken a fifth class because she had some idle time. No one could have anticipated idle time with Bio Chem included in a full load, I told her to enjoy it. Thanks for asking.”

We both have been extremely happy with Maggie and the work she has done with Cathy. Not only does she handle the “nuts and bolts” of the work very well, she is committed to and gifted at building a relationship with Cathy. That relationship has allowed her to appreciate Cathy’s strengths and challenges and effectively help her.
